What are Soft Panels?
Recently, we were at the USM showroom in Hamburg and checked out the new USM Haller Soft Panels.
The Soft Panels are expected to be available from USM Haller or third-party partners in January 2026.
I found the panels to be quite light and easy to install. The Soft Panels are magnetic and adhere to the tubes.
Opening and closing the panels required a bit of practice. If you're not careful, the panels can slip out. Similarly, moving them wasn't always that easy.
USM says that the Soft Panels can also be used as sound dampeners, which I can well imagine.
I also found it interesting that the shelves, made of high-quality synthetic fiber, consist of 40% recycled ocean plastic from Seaqual.
There is a fairly large number of different colors and patterns.
I will probably get one or two shelves with the new Soft Panels.
