USM Haller Sideboard: All Variants, Dimensions & Prices
The sideboard is by far the best-selling USM Haller furniture piece. No wonder - it fits in every room, offers plenty of storage space, and looks incredibly good while doing so. But what variants are actually available? And what does a USM Haller sideboard cost? Here's the complete overview.
The Standard Variants at a Glance
USM Haller sideboards are based on the 75-cm grid system. This means: Each compartment is 75 cm wide and 35 cm deep. The height varies depending on the number of levels. The most common configurations:
Lowboard (1 compartment high, approx. 39 cm)
Perfect as a TV cabinet or under the window. With two or three compartments side by side (150 or 225 cm wide), it's the classic setup for the living room. Original price: from approximately €1,200 for a 2×1 configuration with drop-down doors.
Sideboard (2 compartments high, approx. 74 cm)
The all-rounder. Works in the hallway, living room, office - basically everywhere. The most popular configuration is 3×2 (225 × 74 cm). Original price: from approximately €2,800 depending on configuration. In our gallery you'll find many examples in different colors.
Highboard (3+ compartments high, from approx. 109 cm)
Less commonly called a sideboard, but technically simply a taller sideboard. From three compartments in height, you should consider wall mounting - USM explicitly recommends this from 109 cm height.
Drop-down doors, drawers, or open?
Each compartment can be equipped differently:
Drop-down doors (falling or hinged doors) are the classic choice. The original doors with the characteristic USM handle cost individually about €180-250. Pull-outs/drawers are practical for office and files, but cost significantly more (from about €350 per compartment). Open compartments are suitable for books, decoration, or quick access.

USM Haller sideboard used or as a dupe?
A new USM Haller sideboard in the popular 3×2 configuration with drop-down doors quickly costs over €3,000. There are two alternatives: Buy used (savings 30-50%, watch out for generation and condition) or use compatible parts from suppliers like Limics24 or Konektra. This allows you to build an optically identical sideboard for a fraction of the price.
Sideboard colors: What works?
The three best-selling sideboard colors according to various dealers are: Pure White (RAL 9010), Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016), and USM Yellow. Pure white and anthracite are safe choices that match any interior. Those who are brave go for golden yellow or USM green - these are real eye-catchers that transform a sideboard from functional furniture into a design statement.
